Job Summary

The Porter is responsible for supporting the smooth operation of the store by receiving, loading, unloading, transporting, and arranging merchandise safely and efficiently.
The role ensures products are moved to the appropriate locations, shelves are replenished, and the store and storage areas remain clean and organized.

Key Responsibilities

Load and unload goods from delivery vehicles.
Receive and transport merchandise to the appropriate storage or sales areas.
Assist in stocking shelves and replenishing inventory on the sales floor.
Arrange products neatly in the warehouse and storage areas.
Support inventory counts and stock-taking exercises.
Inspect goods for damage and report discrepancies to the supervisor.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, loading bay, and storage areas.
Handle products carefully to minimize damage or loss.
Assist other store departments during busy periods when required.
Comply with all company health, safety, and operational policies.

Requirements

Minimum of SSCE or equivalent qualification.
Previous experience in a retail store, warehouse, or logistics environment is an added advantage.
Physically fit and capable of lifting and moving heavy items.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
Honest, reliable, and willing to learn.
