Job Summary
- Aniso Specialist Medical Centre is seeking a competent, dedicated and patient-focused Medical Officer to join our clinical team on a permanent, full-time basis.
- We are looking for a licensed medical doctor who is committed to quality patient care, professional conduct and effective teamwork, and who is interested in building a stable, long-term career within a structured healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Conducting patient consultations, clinical examinations and assessments.
- Making appropriate diagnoses and developing suitable treatment plans.
- Providing medical treatment, follow-up care and emergency management as required.
- Requesting and interpreting relevant laboratory and diagnostic investigations.
- Monitoring patients' progress and referring or escalating cases when necessary.
- Maintaining accurate, complete and confidential patient records.
- Communicating effectively with patients, relatives and other healthcare professionals.
- Working collaboratively with nurses, specialists and other members of the clinical team.
- Adhering to clinical guidelines, hospital policies, infection-control standards and patient-safety protocols.
- Participating in clinical audits, quality improvement and continuing professional development activities.
Requirements
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
- Full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- Valid and up-to-date MDCN practising licence.
- At least 1 year post-NYSC clinical experience is preferred.
- Good clinical reasoning, decision-making and patient management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Professionalism, reliability, accountability and respect for hospital structure.
- Must reside in Benin City.
