Medical Laboratory Scientist

Key Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests and analyses accurately and efficiently.
• Collect, process, and examine patient specimens.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment in accordance with approved standards.
• Ensure accurate documentation and timely reporting of laboratory results.
• Maintain strict quality control and quality assurance procedures.
• Adhere to infection prevention, safety, and laboratory protocols.
• Collaborate effectively with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and laboratory records.

Requirements

• BMLS or equivalent qualification in Medical Laboratory Science.
• Must be registered and licensed to practice in Nigeria.
• Relevant experience in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
