Procurement Officer

About the Role
- We are hiring a Procurement Officer with proven FMCG experience to manage sourcing, vendor relationships, and purchasing for our operations in Abuja.
- The ideal candidate understands fast-moving consumer goods supply chains, cost control, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Sourcing & Purchasing:
- Identify and source FMCG products, packaging, and materials at the best cost and quality
- Raise purchase orders, track deliveries, and follow up with suppliers to meet deadlines
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and contracts with vendors.
Vendor Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with FMCG suppliers and distributors
- Evaluate vendor performance on price, quality, and delivery
- Onboard new vendors and ensure compliance with company standards.
Inventory & Compliance:
- Work with warehouse/stores to forecast demand and avoid stockouts or overstock
- Ensure all procurement activities follow company policies and procurement procedures
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, quotations, and vendor documents.
Cost Control:
- Monitor market trends and price movements for FMCG items
- Suggest cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality
- Prepare regular procurement reports for management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related fields
- 2 - 3 years procurement experience in an FMCG company.
- Must have vendor network in Abuja
- Strong negotiation skills, analytical mindset, and attention to detail
- Proficient in MS Excel. Experience with procurement software/ERP is an advantage
- Proactive, organized, and able to work under tight timelines.
Salary
N200,000 - N250,000 monthly.
