- Design, develop, and oversee the installation and modification of mechanical systems and equipment to enhance production efficiency and reliability.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs, troubleshoot mechanical failures, and execute corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with production teams to optimize manufacturing processes, analyze equipment performance, and implement improvements to increase productivity.
- Ensure all mechanical systems and equipment comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other regulatory standards, maintaining necessary documentation for compliance.
- Manage engineering projects from conception to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordination with other departments, ensuring timely and within-scope completion.
- Implement and maintain safety protocols to prevent accidents, ensure a safe working environment, and collaborate with quality assurance teams to maintain product quality.
- Provide training and technical support to production staff on equipment operation and maintenance, and develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for mechanical systems.
- Stay updated with advancements in mechanical engineering and pharmaceutical manufacturing technologies, conducting research to develop new or improved mechanical systems.
