Role Description

• The ICU Nurse will provide comprehensive, high-acuity nursing care to critically ill patients, including continuous monitoring, timely interventions, and emotional support for patients and families. Daily responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, administering medications and treatments, managing ventilators and other life-support equipment, and accurately documenting care in patient records.
• The ICU Nurse will collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans, respond to emergencies, and participate in multidisciplinary rounds.
• The role also involves maintaining infection control standards, ensuring the safe use of equipment, educating patients and families about care plans, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
• This is a full-time, on-site role based in Lagos.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in general Nursing, including patient assessment, medication administration, and care planning.
• Demonstrated experience in Critical Care Nursing and Critical Care Medicine for the management of critically ill patients.
• Experience or training in Emergency Nursing and Medicine for rapid response to life-threatening conditions.
• Current registered nurse (RN) license in good standing and relevant ICU or critical care certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Proficiency in using ICU monitoring equipment, ventilators, and electronic medical records.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Commitment to ethical, patient-centered care and adherence to infection prevention and safety protocols.
• Prior ICU or high-acuity hospital experience is strongly preferred; experience in an internmmational-standard or tertiary facility is an advantage.
