Accountant

Job Description

• An Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, monitoring transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the organization’s financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and maintain accurate financial transactions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare bank and other account reconciliations.
• Monitor income, expenses, budgets, and cash flow.
• Prepare invoices and process payments.
• Assist with payroll and tax-related activities.
• Maintain proper financial documentation and records.
• Assist with audits and provide required financial information.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, tax regulations, and relevant standards.
• Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting errors.
• Provide management with financial analysis and advice.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g.,ICAN/ACCA) is an advantage.
• 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience, depending on the position.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Understanding of taxation and regulatory requirements.
• Strong numerical and analytical ability.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
