About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a growing gadget retail business in Orchid, Lekki.

The successful candidate will be responsible for store operations, inventory management, sales performance, staff supervision, customer service, supplier coordination and operational controls .

The ideal candidate should have proven experience managing a retail environment, preferably within gadgets, consumer electronics, mobile phones, laptops or related technology products .

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the gadget retail store.
• Supervise, coordinate and evaluate sales and support staff.
• Drive operational efficiency and support the achievement of sales targets.
• Monitor daily sales performance and ensure targets are achieved.
• Manage inventory, stock movement, receiving, storage and dispatch.
• Conduct regular stock counts and investigate discrepancies or losses.
• Ensure accurate pricing, product displays and merchandising.
• Coordinate stock replenishment with suppliers and management.
• Monitor fast-moving and slow-moving products.
• Ensure proper cash-handling, POS and daily sales reconciliation.
• Handle customer escalations and ensure effective resolution of complaints.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and store presentation.
• Develop and enforce operational policies and procedures.
• Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, productivity and conduct.
• Train and coach employees on sales, customer service and product knowledge.
• Monitor competitors, pricing and market trends.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly operational reports for the MD.
• Identify operational risks and implement corrective measures.
• Ensure proper security and accountability for company assets and inventory.
• Work closely with the MD on procurement, sales strategy and business development.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Managing Director.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Business Administration, Management, Operations, Marketing, Accounting or a related discipline .
• Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in retail operations or a related commercial environment.
• Experience in gadget, electronics, telecommunications or consumer technology retail is highly preferred.
• Proven experience managing staff and overseeing retail/store operations.
• Strong knowledge of inventory and stock management.
• Experience with POS systems, sales reporting and operational controls.
• Strong understanding of retail sales and customer service.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong numerical, analytical and organisational abilities.
• High level of integrity and accountability.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant business management systems.
• Candidates residing in Lekki, Orchid or surrounding areas will be preferred.
