Product Marketing Manager (Fintech/Payments)

Job Objective: Our client is looking to hire an experienced and commercially minded Product Marketing Manager to develop and execute comprehensive product marketing strategies that drive product awareness, adoption, customer engagement, and business growth.

The successful candidate will combine product marketing expertise, content strategy, brand storytelling, market research, and go-to-market execution to communicate the value of the company’s payment solutions effectively.

The role will work closely with Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Design, Compliance, and Customer Success teams to support product launches, strengthen market positioning, improve customer engagement, and ensure that marketing initiatives are aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

§ Develop compelling product positioning and messaging for the company’s payment solutions, ensuring alignment with customer needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape.

§ Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Design teams to ensure consistent and accurate communication of product benefits across marketing materials.

§ Develop and execute content marketing strategies aligned with the company’s product and marketing objectives.

§ Create engaging content, including blog posts, whitepapers, case studies, videos, product guides, and other marketing materials for different stages of the buyer’s journey.

§ Research industry trends, market developments, customer pain points, and emerging technologies to inform content planning and product marketing strategies.

§ Develop compelling brand narratives that communicate the company’s mission, vision, and unique value proposition.

§ Translate complex payment and fintech concepts into clear and engaging stories that resonate with business audiences.

§ Collaborate with Product Management to develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new products, feature launches, and product enhancements.

§ Coordinate cross-functional launch activities to ensure timely and effective product introductions.

§ Conduct market research, customer surveys, and competitor analysis to identify market opportunities and inform product positioning.

§ Gather and analyse customer feedback to identify pain points, refine messaging, and improve the customer experience.

§ Research payments industry trends, emerging technologies, regulatory developments, and competitive dynamics.

§ Develop thought leadership content that positions the company and its executives as credible voices in the payments and fintech industry.

§ Develop sales enablement materials, including presentations, battle cards, product guides, and other resources to support the Sales team.

§ Equip sales teams with compelling product information and messaging to communicate value propositions effectively to prospective and existing merchants.

§ Optimise content for distribution across the company website, social media platforms, email campaigns, and partner publications.

§ Develop strategies to maximise content reach, engagement, and impact through effective distribution and promotion.

§ Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Sales, Design, Compliance, and Customer Success teams to ensure content accuracy, visual appeal, and compliance with applicable industry requirements.

§ Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of product marketing campaigns and initiatives.

§ Analyse content and campaign performance using relevant analytics tools and translate findings into actionable insights.

§ Continuously improve product marketing strategies and content performance based on data-driven insights.

§ Manage multiple projects and stakeholders, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality marketing outputs.

§ Support other product marketing and commercial initiatives as required.

Requirements

§ Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required. An MBA will be an added advantage.

§ Minimum of five (5) years of experience in B2B product marketing, preferably within the fintech or financial technology industry.

§ Strong understanding of the payments landscape, fintech industry trends, and payment solutions.

§ Proven experience developing product positioning and messaging that resonates with B2B audiences.

§ Demonstrable experience planning and executing product launches and go-to-market strategies.

§ Strong experience in content strategy, content creation, writing, editing, and storytelling across multiple formats.

§ Experience conducting market research, customer segmentation, and competitor analysis to inform marketing decisions.

§ Understanding of sales processes and experience developing sales enablement materials to support sales teams.

§ Experience developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns and content distribution strategies.

§ Strong analytical skills, with the ability to define KPIs, analyse campaign performance, and use data to inform decisions.

§ Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

§ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex product and technical concepts clearly.

§ Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.

§ Ability to work effectively with Product, Sales, Marketing, Design, Compliance, and Customer Success teams.

§ Strong strategic thinking, creativity, attention to detail, and commercial awareness.

§ Familiarity with analytics tools and marketing performance measurement will be an advantage.

Compensation: N600k Monthly (Slightly negotiable depending on the level of expertise) + Other interesting benefits
