Job Summary An accountant is responsible for the management and reporting of the financial data of an organization. Their duties include preparing financial statements, examining and analyzing a company’s accounts, and ensuring compliance with financial reporting and other standard accounting procedures.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Preparation of financial statements, balance sheet, and income statements.
- Management of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Financial analysis and reporting to Management.
- Other assignments that may be delegated by Management.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- BSc in Accounting, Finance, or relevant degree
- 3 - 5 years of work experience as an Accountant
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Hands-on experience with accounting software like FreshBooks and QuickBooks
- Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
- Experience with general ledger functions
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
- Additional certification (ACCA or ICAN) is a plus.
