- We are seeking an experienced and performance-driven Area Sales Manager to lead sales operations, distributor performance, and market expansion across Benue State and surrounding territories.
- The ideal candidate should possess strong FMCG/beverage industry experience, with a proven track record in sales execution, distributor management, market development, and achieving volume growth targets.
Core Deliverables
- Drive sales volume and revenue growth across assigned territories.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to increase market penetration and market share.
- Manage distributor performance to ensure achievement of sales targets.
- Expand distribution coverage and identify new market opportunities.
- Ensure optimal product availability, visibility, and merchandising standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key trade partners.
Other Job Functions:
- Monitor distributor stock levels and coordinate timely replenishment.
- Conduct regular market visits to assess sales performance and identify growth opportunities.
- Track competitor activities and provide actionable market intelligence.
- Ensure effective execution of trade promotions and sales initiatives.
- Coach and support distributor sales teams to improve productivity and performance.
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly sales performance reports.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 4–6 years' experience in sales management within the beverage/FMCG industry.
- Proven experience managing distributors and driving territory sales growth.
- Strong understanding of route-to-market strategies and sales execution.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
- Must have a good understanding of the Benue market and surrounding territories.
