Chef De Partie (General)

Our client is looking for a skilled and versatile Chef de Partie (General) to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will work across different kitchen sections as required, supporting the Senior Chef de Partie and Sous Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations and consistent food quality.

This role is ideal for a well-rounded chef who is comfortable working in different sections of a professional kitchen and can adapt quickly to changing operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare and cook food according to established recipes, standards, and presentation guidelines.
* Work across different kitchen sections, including grill, pizza, hot kitchen, cold kitchen, prep, and other sections as required.
* Assist the Senior CDP and Sous Chef with daily kitchen operations.
* Ensure all food is prepared and presented consistently and to the required standard.
* Carry out food preparation, including chopping, portioning, marinating, seasoning, and other mise en place.
* Maintain proper food storage, labelling, and stock rotation procedures.
* Monitor food quality, freshness, and portion control.
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety at all times.
* Assist with receiving, checking, and storing kitchen supplies when required.
* Minimise food wastage and use ingredients efficiently.
* Keep workstations, equipment, and kitchen areas clean and organised.
* Support other kitchen team members during busy service periods.
* Follow instructions from the Senior CDP and Sous Chef and contribute positively to the overall kitchen team.
* Perform other kitchen-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

* Minimum of 2–4 years of experience working in a professional kitchen.
* Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or experienced Commis Chef is preferred.
* Strong knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
* Ability to work effectively across multiple kitchen sections.
* Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen sanitation standards.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
* Good teamwork and communication skills.
* Ability to follow instructions and work well within a structured kitchen hierarchy.
* Culinary training or a relevant hospitality qualification is an added advantage.
