- The Laboratory Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients visiting the laboratory.
- The role involves patient registration, appointment scheduling, sample documentation, payment coordination, and ensuring smooth communication between patients and laboratory personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and visitors professionally.
- Register patients and maintain accurate records.
- Schedule laboratory appointments where applicable.
- Verify patient information before sample collection.
- Receive laboratory requests and issue receipts where necessary.
- Coordinate communication between patients and laboratory staff.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Handle telephone enquiries and respond appropriately.
- Maintain organized filing systems.
- Assist with administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements
- OND / HND / BSc Degree in Business Administration, Health Information Management or related fields
- Previous receptionist or customer service experience in a healthcare setting is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literacy.
- Good organizational skills.
- Professional appearance and attitude.
Salary
N70,000 monthly.
