Sales Assistant

Job Title: Office Assistant / Sales Support (Mobile Phone Outlet) Location: Akwa Ibom, Uyo Company: Avix Mobile Outlet Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary Avix Mobile Outlet requires a disciplined, sales-driven, and highly responsible Office Assistant to support the Store Manager and ensure the smooth daily operation of our mobile phone retail and wholesale outlet. This role is performance-based and requires someone who can actively contribute to sales, not just administrative support. The successful candidate must be able to manage the shop in the absence of the Store Manager and drive revenue through effective customer engagement. Core Responsibilities Take full responsibility for the outlet when the Store Manager is not available Actively engage customers and close sales (phones and accessories – retail & wholesale) Meet assigned daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets Follow up on customer inquiries (walk-in, phone calls, WhatsApp) and convert them to sales Accurately process transactions and maintain daily sales records without discrepancies Maintain strict accountability for cash handling and stock Track inventory movement and immediately report shortages or inconsistencies Ensure proper product display, pricing, and shop organization at all times Prepare and submit daily sales and activity reports Support the Store Manager in achieving overall outlet sales goals Performance Expectations (Strict) Must generate consistent sales weekly (no zero-performance tolerance) Must demonstrate ability to upsell and cross-sell products Must be punctual, reliable, and present at the shop during all assigned hours Any form of negligence in cash handling or stock management will not be tolerated Failure to meet minimum performance expectations may lead to termination Requirements & Qualifications Minimum of SSCE or OND (higher qualifications are an advantage) Proven experience in phone sales or retail sales is strongly preferred Good knowledge of smartphones, accessories, and basic phone specifications Strong sales, persuasion, and negotiation skills Basic record-keeping and numerical skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Must be trustworthy and able to handle cash and stock responsibly Key Competencies Sales focus and target-driven mindset Customer service excellence Attention to detail and accountability Strong communication skills Integrity and reliability Working Conditions Location: Uyo Workdays: Monday to Saturday (mandatory) Must be available to resume work promptly and consistently Remuneration Salary: Competitive (based on experience) Sales commissions and performance-based incentives Opportunity for growth based on performance
