Job Description

  • Coordinate the day-to-day upload of XML files to the National Data Repository (NDR), ensuring completeness, timeliness, and data integrity
  • Monitor upload logs, troubleshoot transmission errors, and escalate unresolved issues promptly
  • Maintain accurate records of all data submissions and upload activity.
  • Supervise and provide daily direction to data entry clerks, ensuring accuracy and adherence to data entry protocols
  • Track team performance metrics and provide feedback or escalate performance gaps as needed
  • Conduct spot-checks and audits on entered data to ensure quality control
  • Ensure all HI-related infrastructure (hardware, software, networks, and servers) is functioning optimally and escalate faults to relevant IT teams
  • Coordinate routine maintenance schedules and support system upgrades or patches
  • Maintain an asset register and monitor the operational status of EMR-related equipment
  • Apply working knowledge of SQL for database querying, report generation, and data validation
  • Utilize Python and/or Java for scripting, data processing automation, and system integration tasks
  • Support data analytics and visualization activities, including generating dashboards and performance indicators for program use
  • Support the effective deployment and usage of the Nigeria Medical Records System (NMRS) across facilities
  • Manage and support data flows into and from the Central Data Repository (CDR)
  • Maintain and support NOMIS (National Outcome Monitoring Information System) data entry and reporting
  • Ensure seamless LIMS–EMR connectivity, including troubleshooting interface errors between laboratory and medical record systems
  • Generate routine and ad-hoc reports for program teams, facility managers, and national stakeholders
  • Ensure data submissions comply with national HI standards, data governance policies, and patient confidentiality requirements
  • Participate in data quality assessments (DQAs) and implement corrective action plans
  • Train facility-level staff on EMR usage, data entry best practices, and system navigation
  • Serve as the first point of contact for EMR-related inquiries from facility and program staff
  • Liaise with state and HQ HI teams on system updates, policy changes, and technical rollouts
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Minimum Recruitment Standard

  • HND or University Degree in Computer Science, Information System or related field.
  • At least 2 years’ experience Local or International NGOs; preferably in Care and treatment.
  • Experience with use, deployment and EMR management. Knowledge of Access or other programming language a plus. Ability to troubleshoot and run database queries.
  • Ability to work under pressure cooperatively as a member of a team.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret large amount of information. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Machine Learning and AI techniques.
  • Excellent personal communication skills, in written and verbal English, with high impact influencing and persuasive skills and able to represent the organization to donors and partners
  • Good experience of using Ms. Word, Excel or applicable software related to position
