Summary
- We are seeking a skilled Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to oversee the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of electrical and instrumentation systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot electrical equipment, control systems, and instrumentation.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Diagnose electrical faults and instrumentation failures and implement effective solutions.
- Monitor and maintain PLC, DCS, SCADA, sensors, transmitters, control valves, and other automation systems.
- Perform calibration and testing of instrumentation equipment.
- Interpret electrical, instrumentation, control, and process drawings.
- Support installation and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation equipment.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, maintenance procedures, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and spare parts.
- Coordinate with production, mechanical, and other engineering teams to resolve operational issues.
- Support shutdown, plant maintenance, and improvement projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree/HND in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant professional certification is an added advantage.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in electrical and instrumentation maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing, steel, foundry, or process plant environment.
- Good knowledge of PLC, SCADA/DCS, industrial automation, sensors, transmitters, and control systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Good knowledge of electrical safety and industrial maintenance practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant engineering/automation tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment.
