Nursery Teacher

Job Summary

• A nursery teacher provides early childhood education by planning and delivering learning activities, caring for children's physical and emotional well-being, monitoring their development, and creating a safe and supportive environment that promotes learning and growth.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate learning activities.
• Teach basic skills such as numbers, letters, colors, shapes, and social skills.
• Create a safe, caring, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Supervise children during lessons, playtime, meals, and outdoor activities.
• Monitor and assess children's development and progress.
• Encourage good behavior, confidence, and positive social interaction.
• Help children develop communication, motor, and problem-solving skills.
• Maintain classroom cleanliness and organize learning materials.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children's progress and needs.
• Follow health, safety, and safeguarding policies to protect children.

Qualifications
May vary by employer:

• Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Early Childhood Education, Nursery Education, or a related field.
• Teaching certification or registration where required.
• Experience working with young children is often an advantage.

Salary
N50,000 - N100,000 / Month.
