Job Summary
- TAAS Group of Schools, Ibadan is seeking a competent, proactive, and experienced Maintenance & Facilities Officer to oversee the maintenance, safety, and functionality of the school’s facilities and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the maintenance of school buildings, classrooms, offices, laboratories, and other facilities.
- Conduct routine inspections and ensure facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained.
- Monitor and maintain electrical, plumbing, water supply, and other utility systems.
- Coordinate repairs, renovations, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Supervise artisans, technicians, and external contractors when necessary.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and facility inspections.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Monitor facility-related expenses and recommend cost-effective solutions.
- Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies and operational issues.
- Support management in planning and executing facility improvement projects.
Requirements
- Minimum of HND, B.Sc., or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Facilities Management, Building Technology, Estate Management, or a related discipline.
- 4–7 years of proven experience in maintenance and facilities management.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and building maintenance systems.
- Good problem-solving, organizational, and supervisory skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple maintenance tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in record-keeping and reporting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must reside in Ibadan or be willing to relocate to Ibadan.
Salary
N80,000 - N90,000 Monthly.
