Job Summary
- They are seeking to employ competent Warehouse Assistants to support warehouse and materials management operations across its operational locations.
- The successful candidates will be responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, preserving, and maintaining inventory of materials, equipment, spare parts, and consumables in accordance with company procedures and industry best practices.
- Candidates must possess hands-on experience in warehouse operations within the oil and gas sector, with knowledge of SAP Warehouse Management, inventory control, logistics coordination, stock reconciliation, and HSE compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
- Store materials appropriately to ensure safety, accessibility, and preservation.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using SAP Warehouse Management (SAP WM/MM) or other ERP systems.
- Perform routine stock counts, cycle counts, and periodic inventory audits.
- Reconcile physical inventory with system records and investigate stock variances.
- Prepare and process material requisitions, goods receipts, goods issues, and transfer transactions in SAP.
- Ensure proper preservation and handling of materials, equipment, and spare parts to prevent deterioration or damage.
- Coordinate material movements between warehouses, operational sites, offshore facilities, and vendors.
- Support offshore warehouse operations, including mobilization and demobilization of equipment and materials.
- Monitor inventory levels and report low stock items to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Maintain proper warehouse housekeeping in accordance with company standards.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, HSE regulations, and quality management procedures.
- Assist with logistics planning, transportation scheduling, and delivery coordination.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly warehouse and inventory reports.
- Participate in warehouse inspections, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements & Qualifications
- National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, Materials Management, or a related discipline.
- 2–5 years of experience in warehouse, materials management, inventory control, or logistics operations within the oil and gas industry.
- Practical experience with SAP Warehouse Management (WM/MM) or other ERP inventory systems.
- Good knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and materials handling procedures.
- Experience supporting offshore or onshore oil and gas warehouse operations is an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of stock reconciliation and inventory control processes.
- Knowledge of preservation techniques for mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and spare parts materials.
- Good computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Strong commitment to Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) standards.
Preferred Certifications:
- HSE Level 1, 2, or 3
- SAP Warehouse Management (WM/MM) Certification (preferred)
- Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) Certification (advantage)
- Materials Management or Supply Chain Certification
- First Aid and Fire Safety Certification.
