Assistant Utility Operator

Job Summary
- We are seeking an experienced Assistant Utility Operator to support the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of utility equipment that ensures uninterrupted plant operations.
- The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience working with utility systems in an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and maintain air compressors and pump systems to ensure efficient plant operations.
- Assist in the operation and routine maintenance of chillers and cooling systems.
- Monitor and support the efficient functioning of Thermax Vapour Absorption Machines (VAM).
- Perform routine inspections of utility equipment and promptly report faults or abnormalities.
- Operate and maintain centrifugal pumps, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Support Water Treatment Plant (WTP) and utility-related operations as required.
- Carry out preventive maintenance activities and assist in troubleshooting utility equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of utility operations, inspections, and maintenance activities.
Requirements
- B.Tech, B.Sc., OND, HND in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3 – 5 years of relevant experience in an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
- Proximity to Sagamu and its environs.
Hands-on experience operating and maintaining:
- Air compressors and pumps.
- Chillers.
- Thermax Vapour Absorption Machines (VAM).
- Water Treatment Plant (WTP) systems.
- Centrifugal pumps.
- Good troubleshooting and preventive maintenance skills.
- Strong understanding of utility equipment, safety standards, and plant operations.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and respond effectively to equipment breakdowns.
Salary
N200,000 - N300,000 / month.
