Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machinist to join our automobile manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machine tools used in the production of automotive components. The role requires precision, technical expertise, and a strong commitment to quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate conventional and CNC machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, drilling machines, grinders, and boring machines.
  • Manufacture and modify automotive parts and components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions accurately.
  • Measure and inspect machined parts using precision instruments such as micrometers, vernier calipers, gauges, and measuring tools.
  • Set up machines and adjust machine settings to achieve required tolerances and quality standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of machinery and equipment.
  • Ensure all manufactured parts meet company quality requirements and technical specifications.
  • Maintain production records and documentation.
  • Adhere to workplace safety procedures and manufacturing standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality control, and production teams to improve manufacturing efficiency.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum of OND, NABTEB, Trade Test Certificate, Technical College Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Machining, Metalwork, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2–5 years of relevant experience as a Machinist in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of machining processes, machine operations, and precision measurement techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Experience with CNC machines is an added advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
