Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage patient records and ensure their accuracy and confidentiality.
- Update and organize medical records in both physical and electronic formats.
- Retrieve patient records for medical staff and ensure timely availability.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and data analysis.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff, addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience.
- Provide support in managing specialty clinics, including scheduling and coordinating patient appointments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree / HND in Health Information Management or related field.
- 2 years proven experience as a Medical Record Officer or similar role.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare regulations.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EMR/EHR) systems.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer-centric mindset with a focus on providing exceptional service.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Health Information Management.
- Experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Familiarity with data analysis and reporting.
