Logistics Officer (Truck Operations)

Summary
- Are you experienced in coordinating trucks, drivers, and deliveries? We are looking for a proactive and organized Logistics Officer to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the movement of company trucks and other vehicles.
- Plan and monitor daily dispatch and delivery schedules.
- Ensure timely loading, transportation, and delivery of goods.
- Supervise and communicate effectively with truck drivers.
- Monitor vehicle utilization, fuel consumption, and mileage.
- Schedule routine maintenance and ensure vehicles remain roadworthy.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, vehicle documents, repairs, and logistics activities.
- Ensure compliance with traffic regulations and company policies.
- Resolve logistics challenges and provide timely updates to management.
Requirements
- HND/B.Sc. in Logistics, Transport Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in logistics, fleet, or transport management.
- Experience managing trucks and commercial vehicles is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work under pressure and solve problems effectively.
- Knowledge of road networks and transport operations within Nigeria is an added advantage.
- Must be resident in Asaba, Delta State.
