Summary
- We are seeking qualified and experiencedto support industrial and oil & gas coating projects.
Responsibilities
- Carry out abrasive blasting and other surface preparation activities.
- Prepare surfaces to specified cleanliness and surface-profile requirements.
- Inspect prepared surfaces before coating application.
- Maintain blasting equipment and report defects or unsafe conditions.
- Ensure all work complies with project specifications, HSE requirements and quality standards.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and safe working conditions.
Key Requirements
- Relevant blasting/coating certifications will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in surface preparation and industrial coating works.
- Experience with abrasive blasting, grit blasting and mechanical surface preparation.
- Knowledge of surface preparation standards such as Sa 2½, Sa 3, St 2 and St 3.
- Ability to operate and maintain blasting equipment safely.
- Experience preparing steel structures, pipelines, tanks and other industrial surfaces for protective coating.
- Ability to use surface profile gauges, DFT gauges and other inspection tools.
- Good knowledge of HSE requirements, PPE and safe work practices.
