Inventory Officer

NAJEC FMCG Limited is looking for a detail-oriented and trustworthy Inventory Officer to maintain accurate stock records and strong stock control. You will be the custodian of company stock and accountable for the integrity of the inventory under your control.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of stock received, issued, transferred and available.
- Conduct and coordinate regular physical stock counts.
- Reconcile physical stock against system records and investigate variances.
- Monitor damaged, expired, missing and slow-moving stock.
- Make sure all stock movements are authorised and properly documented.
- Monitor stock levels and flag potential shortages or overstocking.
- Work with Procurement, Sales, Warehouse and Finance on stock requirements and discrepancies.
- Prepare accurate inventory reports within deadlines, including the monthly report by the 3rd working day.
- Support periodic and surprise stock counts and audits.
- Escalate suspected losses, discrepancies, damage or expiry issues promptly.
- Follow company SOPs and inventory controls at all times.
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
- OND, HND or B.Sc. in Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics or a related field.
- 2 to 3 years' experience in inventory, store or warehouse management, preferably in FMCG or distribution.
Skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and inventory or ERP systems.
- Strong numeracy, attention to detail and record keeping.
- Good report writing and communication skills.
- Able to meet deadlines and work with other departments.
Personal Qualities
- High level of integrity, honesty and accountability.
- Disciplined and able to work independently.
- Comfortable with strict internal controls and regular audits.
