Male / Female Storekeeper

Key Roles and Duties

• Receiving Goods: Receive deliveries, inspect items, and verify quantities against purchase orders, invoices, and delivery notes.
• Stock Recording: Maintain accurate records of all goods received, issued, returned, and remaining in stock.
• Storage and Organisation: Arrange goods properly, label items, and ensure the store is clean, orderly, secure, and well ventilated where necessary.
• Issuing of Items: Release goods only upon proper authorisation and ensure every issue is documented.
• Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels and ensure essential items are available when needed.
• Stocktaking: Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile them with inventory records.
• Expiry Date Monitoring: Check expiry dates and ensure items are used according to the FIFO (First In, First Out) or FEFO (First Expired, First Out) principles, where applicable.
• Preventing Losses: Protect stock against theft, damage, misuse, spoilage, and unauthorised access.
• Reporting Discrepancies: Report shortages, excess stock, damaged goods, unusual consumption, and other discrepancies to management.
• Reorder Recommendations: Inform management or the purchasing department when stock reaches its reorder level.
• Documentation: Keep proper records of purchase receipts, requisitions, stock cards, bin cards, and issue vouchers.
• Interdepartmental Coordination: Work closely with the Accounts, Purchasing, Kitchen, Housekeeping, Restaurant, and other departments to ensure efficient stock management.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of OND or a relevant secondary school qualification with 5 years experience
• Previous storekeeping or inventory management experience is an advantage.
• Good numerical, record-keeping, and organisational skills.
• Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with inventory software.
• Honesty, integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and follow company procedures.

Salary
N120,000 / Month.
