Position Overview
- We are seeking experienced Caregivers and Nursing Assistants to provide quality home-based care to elderly clients, individuals recovering from illness or surgery, people living with disabilities, and clients requiring long-term assistance with daily living.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding).
- Support safe mobility, transfers, and ambulation.
- Monitor and report changes in clients' health or behaviour.
- Record and maintain accurate daily care notes.
- Assist with medication reminders (where applicable).
- Prepare light meals according to clients' dietary requirements.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Accompany clients to appointments when required.
- Follow each client's individualized care plan.
- Adhere strictly to infection prevention and control protocols.
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and respect for clients at all times.
Requirements
- 1–2 years' experience as a caregiver, nursing assistant, healthcare assistant, or support worker.
- Healthcare-related training or certification is an added advantage.
- Experience caring for elderly clients, stroke patients, dementia patients, post-operative patients, or individuals with disabilities.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English.
- Compassionate, patient, trustworthy, and dependable.
- Physically fit and able to assist clients safely.
- Excellent interpersonal and observation skills.
- Willingness to work live-in, live-out, day, night, weekend, or rotational shifts as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Nursing Assistant Certificate, Caregiver Training Certificate, Community Health qualification, or other healthcare certification.
- Basic First Aid and CPR certification (an advantage).
- Experience with home care services is highly desirable.
Salary
N60,000 - N120,000 per month.
