Job Summary
- We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Assistant Chef to support the kitchen team in preparing quality meals and maintaining smooth daily kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Chef with daily food preparation and cooking.
- Prepare ingredients, including washing, cutting, seasoning, and portioning.
- Follow recipes and food preparation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
- Assist with proper storage and handling of food items.
- Monitor kitchen supplies and report items that need replenishment.
- Support the Chef during busy service periods.
- Ensure food is prepared and presented to the required standard.
- Follow all food safety and kitchen procedures.
- Work effectively with other kitchen and restaurant staff.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen, restaurant, hotel, or similar hospitality environment.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking.
- Good understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety.
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.
- Culinary training or relevant certification is an advantage.
