Audit Officer

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine financial, operational, and compliance audits across the organisation.
• Review transactions, supporting documents, processes, and controls for compliance with approved policies.
• Identify control weaknesses, process gaps, irregularities, and potential risks.
• Verify the accuracy and completeness of financial and operational records.
• Assist in fraud prevention, investigations, and special audit assignments.
• Prepare audit working papers, findings, and reports.
• Follow up on audit recommendations and monitor corrective actions.
• Support the Head of Audit in implementing the annual audit plan.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
• ACA, ACCA, ANAN, CIA, or equivalent professional qualification will be an advantage.
• Minimum of 2–4 years' relevant audit experience.
• Good understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, audit procedures, and risk management.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professional ethics.
• Good communication and report-writing skills.
