Coordinate the loading and unloading of cargo from vessels to trucks, trains, or warehouses. Track incoming and outgoing shipments in real time using logistics software. Schedule berth slots, transport vehicles, and handling equipment to prevent bottlenecks Process import and export shipping documents, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists. Manage customs clearance procedures with port authorities to avoid costly delays or demurrage. Ensure all hazardous or specialized cargo complies with international maritime safety rules. Communicate daily with shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs agents, and trucking companies. Resolve disputes or delays regarding damaged freight, lost paperwork, or missed operational windows. Report on key performance metrics like turnaround times and freight handling costs
