Procurement / Inventory Officer - Factory Consumables Store

• Are you an organized and detail-oriented procurement and inventory professional with experience in a manufacturing environment?
• Colossus Investments Limited is seeking a proactive Procurement and Inventory Officer – Factory Consumables Store to manage the sourcing, procurement, storage, issuance, and inventory control of factory consumables, ensuring uninterrupted production operations.

Key Responsibilities
Procurement:

• Source and obtain quotations from approved vendors for consumable items.
• Prepare purchase requisitions and purchase orders in line with approved budgets.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Evaluate and onboard new vendors while maintaining an approved vendor database.
• Monitor supplier performance and ensure timely delivery of quality materials.
• Track purchase orders and follow up on outstanding deliveries.
• Ensure compliance with the company's procurement policies and approval processes.
• Liaise with the Finance Department on vendor invoices, payments, and reconciliations.

Inventory Management:

• Receive, inspect, and verify consumable items against purchase orders.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and stock documentation.
• Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and initiate timely replenishment.
• Issue consumables based on approved requisitions.
• Conduct periodic stock counts and reconcile physical stock with inventory records.
• Monitor expiry dates of applicable items.
• Prepare regular inventory and procurement reports.
• Analyse usage trends and recommend replenishment quantities.
• Maintain proper housekeeping within the consumables store.
• Ensure compliance with inventory control procedures and internal policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years' experience in procurement, inventory, or stores management within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control principles and procurement processes.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and organisational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory/ERP systems will be an added advantage.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
