Job Summary
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered medical care while working collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure effective diagnosis, treatment, and overall patient wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient consultations, assessments, and physical examinations
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of medical conditions
- Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans for patients
- Prescribe medications and treatments in line with established clinical guidelines
- Monitor patients’ progress and adjust treatment plans when necessary
- Request and interpret laboratory and diagnostic investigations
- Attend to medical emergencies and provide prompt clinical intervention
- Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date patient medical records
- Provide appropriate referrals and coordinate care with specialists when required
- Educate patients and their families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventive healthcare
- Collaborate effectively with nurses and other healthcare professionals
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, clinical guidelines, safety regulations, and infection prevention standards
- Support a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment
Requirements
- Must be a qualified Medical Doctor (MBBS or equivalent)
- Valid practicing license with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN)
- 2–5 years relevant clinical experience in a hospital setting (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of clinical medicine, diagnosis, and patient management
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
