About the role
- The primary objective of Lubrication Technician is to organize and follow up proper established lubrication programme of all plant equipment.
- The role holder is also responsible for keeping of records of the lubricant’s consumption of the equipment.
- Also, he/she liaises with Warehouse unit to monitor lubricant inventory.
- He/she will also: Gauge gearboxes to level.
- Carry out all plant lubrication schedules.Ensure all drive shaft bearings running smoothly/gearboxes
Responsibilities
- Lubrication / greasing of the followings: - All drives, Shafts, Rollers and Gearboxes
- Checking of all drives oil level
- Inspection of plant
- Fitting jobs
- Changing of lubrication oil as per schedules
- Routine checks of all drives
- Monitors the equipment daily and provides proper feedback for recording of data for future analysis and reference
- Use maintenance tools (equipment, inspections, lube schedules & planning)
- Quality of repair on all equipment
- Create work orders
- Operate machines for maintenance use (drills, lathes, etc.)
- Some welding techniques
- Plumbing
- Studies recurring problems of equipment reliability or problems related to safety and work conditions
- Preventative maintenance
Required skills
- Knowledge of Health and Hazards storage rules and regulation
- Strong Excel and MS Office proficiency (including good knowledge of PowerPoint)
- Good knowledge SAP and SAP FC is a plus
- Proficient in PPM systems both in theory and in practice.
Experience:
- 2-3 years post graduate experience preferably in a cement manufacturing setting.
Education:
- Other Degree in Engineering.
