Nursery Class Assistant

Description
- We are seeking a caring, attentive Nursery Class Assistant to support the lead teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children.
- The ideal candidate is patient, energetic, and passionate about early childhood development.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher in supervising and caring for children in the nursery classroom
- Support daily routines including feeding, toileting/diapering, and nap times
- Help implement age-appropriate learning activities and Montessori materials
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment
- Monitor children’s wellbeing and promptly report any concerns to the lead teacher
- Assist with classroom setup, cleanup, and preparation of materials
- Support children’s emotional, social, and physical development
- Communicate positively and professionally with parents/guardians as needed
- Follow all school health, safety, and hygiene protocols
Requirements
- Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE)
- Prior experience working with young children (nursery, crèche, or childcare setting)
- Genuine love for and patience with children
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
- Basic hygiene and safety awareness
- Physically able to keep up with active toddlers/young children throughout the day
