Back-end Developer (Software Department)

Job Objectives

• Build the “server-side” of web application.

Roles

• Design, implement and maintain back-end application phases
• Take part in software and architectural development activities
• Conduct software analysis, programming, testing and debugging
• Identifying production and non-production application issues
• Transforming requirements into stipulations
• Develop, test, implement and maintain application software
• Recommend changes to improve established java application processes
• Develop technical designs for application development
• Develop application code for back-end programs.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging
• Write clean code to develop functional web applications
• Troubleshoot and debug applications
• Perform UI tests to optimize performance
• Manage cutting-edge technologies to improve legacy applications • Collaborate with Front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server side logic
• Gather and address technical and design requirements
• Provide training and support to internal teams
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Liaise with developers, designers and system administrators to identify new features
• Follow emerging technologies.

Qualification & Experience

• BSc. / HND in Computer Science or any related discipline
• Minimum of 2 year work experience in a similar capacity

• Build at least one (1) “server-side” hybrid or android mobile application within one year
