Account Officer

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Account Officer to manage financial transactions, maintain accurate financial records, and support our accounting department. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures, assist in financial reporting, and contribute to the overall financial health of the company. Key Responsibilities: Prepare, review, and process invoices, receipts, and payments. Maintain and update accurate financial records and ledgers. Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports. Monitor and track expenses, ensuring adherence to budgets. Support the audit process by providing required documentation. Liaise with clients, vendors, and internal departments regarding financial matters. Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations. Perform other accounting duties as assigned by the Finance Manager. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Proven experience as an Account Officer or similar role. Knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Attributes: Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA is a plus. salary expectation: N250,000 -N300,000
