Job Location : Ogun Deadline : August 16, 2026 Quick Recommended LinksWe are looking for an experienced Workshop Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and repair of heavy-duty trucks. The ideal candidate will lead a team of technicians, ensure quick turnaround of vehicles, maintain high workshop standards, and improve fleet reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise mechanics and technicians, assigning daily maintenance and repair tasks.
- Ensure timely repair and 95% same-day delivery of trucks where possible.
- Prepare repair estimates and obtain necessary approvals.
- Oversee vehicle breakdown recovery and on-road repair activities.
- Conduct root cause analysis of vehicle failures and implement corrective actions.
- Supervise major repairs and overhauls of engines, gearboxes, and other key components.
- Monitor workshop turnaround time (TAT) and improve productivity.
- Manage spare parts, tools, and workshop consumables to prevent downtime.
- Ensure proper use of workshop tools and equipment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized workshop.
- Train technicians on technical skills and safety procedures.
- Prepare basic maintenance and workshop performance reports.
Requirements
- HND/B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7years' experience in heavy-duty truck or fleet maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role .
- Strong knowledge of truck maintenance and fault diagnosis.
- Good leadership, planning, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage workshop operations and meet performance targets.
