Job Description

  • The Retail Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales and revenue by actively engaging customers, understanding their needs, recommending suitable products, and providing excellent customer service.
  • The role involves maintaining product knowledge, achieving assigned sales targets, ensuring proper product display, and contributing to the smooth operation of the retail outlet.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and attend to customers in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Identify customers’ needs and recommend appropriate products or services.
  • Promote and sell company products to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
  • Explain product features, benefits, prices, warranties, and available promotions to customers.
  • Demonstrate products and assist customers in making informed purchasing decisions.
  • Maintain excellent customer relationships and encourage repeat purchases.

Education

  • OND, NCE, HND, or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales, Management, Social Sciences, or a related field is an advantage.

Experience:

  • 0–2 years of experience in retail sales, customer service, marketing, or a related position.
  • Candidates with relevant sales experience in mobile phones, electronics, telecommunications, FMCG, fashion, or other retail businesses are preferred.
  • Fresh graduates with strong communication and sales abilities may also be considered.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Good selling and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to persuade customers and close sales.
  • Good product presentation and demonstration skills.
  • Strong target-oriented mindset.
  • Basic numeracy and cash-handling skills.

Remuneration

  • N90,000 monthly salary
  • Sales commission/incentives based on individual or branch performance.
