Graduate Civil Engineers

Job Summary

• They are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Civil Engineer to join our engineering team.
• This role is ideal for a recent graduate or an individual with up to one year of relevant experience who is eager to develop practical engineering skills while contributing to infrastructure and construction projects.
• The successful candidate will work closely with experienced engineers to support project planning, design, site supervision, quality assurance, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering projects.
• Support site inspections and monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
• Prepare engineering drawings, reports, calculations, and technical documentation.
• Conduct site measurements, surveys, and data collection.
• Assist in preparing project schedules, cost estimates, and material take-offs.
• Monitor project progress and report any issues or delays to supervisors.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with relevant engineering codes, regulations, and company policies.
• Participate in quality control inspections and testing activities.
• Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
• Perform other engineering-related duties as assigned.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (B.Eng. or B.Tech.) in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
• NYSC completed or currently serving (where applicable).

Experience:

• 0 – 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Industrial Training (SIWES), internship, or NYSC engineering experience will be an added advantage.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Basic understanding of civil engineering principles and construction methods.
• Knowledge of structural, highway, or building construction fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD. Familiarity with Civil 3D, Revit, STAAD Pro, or ETABS is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced work environment.
• Good report writing and documentation skills.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
