Job Summary
- We are seeking a Power Plant Operator with hands-on experience operating and maintaining Wärtsilä gas engines in an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the power plant, including engine start-up, shutdown, synchronization, monitoring of LT/HT water circuits, and routine engine maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor Wärtsilä gas engines and associated power plant equipment.
- Carry out engine start-up, shutdown and synchronization procedures safely and efficiently.
- Monitor and manage the LT/HT water circuits of the engine.
- Conduct routine checks and monitor engine performance to identify abnormalities or faults.
- Perform and support engine maintenance activities in line with operational requirements.
- Maintain proper operating records and report equipment issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with plant safety procedures and operational standards.
Requirements
- HND/B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in a power plant, FMCG or manufacturing environment.
- Proven hands-on experience operating Wärtsilä gas engines.
- Practical knowledge of engine shutdown and synchronization.
- Good understanding of engine operation and maintenance.
- Knowledge of LT/HT water circuits and their operation.
- Strong troubleshooting, monitoring and problem-solving skills.
- Must be available to resume immediately.
