Social Media Manager and Content Creator (Remote)

About the Role

• We are hiring a Social Media Manager and Content Creator to run the online presence of a personal brand.
• The brand belongs to a CEO, leader, mentor, public speaker and lifestyle personality.
• You will plan, create, publish and grow content across the brand's pages. You will also cover live events attendance, support digital product launches, run paid ads and manage the brand's email newsletter and online community. AI is central to supporting this role.
• You must show strong, proven skill in using AI tools to research, write, design, edit and produce content, including motion graphics and explainer videos.

Platforms You Will Manage:

• LinkedIn, Instagram,Facebook,X (Twitter),TikTok
• Pages of affiliated mentorship programme and youth network

Key Responsibilities
Strategy and planning:

• Build and run a content strategy around four brand pillars: leadership, mentorship, public speaking and lifestyle.
• Plan a monthly content calendar so key messages go out on time across all platforms.
• Define the target audience for each platform and tailor content to it.
• Keep the brand's voice, look and identity consistent on every page.
• Achieve set KPIs for each platform, such as reach, engagement rate, follower growth, shares, saves, DMs and link clicks.
• Study competitor and benchmark pages and bring the findings into the plan.

Content creation:

• Create, edit and publish original content daily, including copy, photos, graphics, carousels and videos.
• Produce short-form video for Reels, TikTok and LinkedIn video.
• Write captions and posts that drive comments, shares and clear calls to action.
• Turn talks, interviews and quotes into posts, short clips and carousels.
• Use AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini Pro, etc. to research topics, draft scripts and captions, generate images and edit content.
• Write clear prompts, review the output and refine it over several rounds until it matches the brand's voice and quality.
• Create motion graphics and explainer videos with AI video tools.
• Turn articles, talks and ideas into AI-assisted videos, carousels and graphics.
• Create Avatars of the brand and use across platforms content as necessary.
• Check all AI output for accuracy, tone and originality before it goes live.

Events and speaking coverage:

• Attend speaking engagements, mentorship sessions and lifestyle events to record content.
• Post live updates and stories during events.
• Edit and publish event recaps within 48 hours.

Community and growth:

• Grow followers organically through consistent posting and active engagement.
• Reply to comments and DMs, and flag key messages, partnership and speaking requests to the principal.
• Build online communities and collaborate with other creators and influencers.
• Run contests, giveaways and other campaigns to grow reach and awareness.
• Come up with ideas for collaboration and visibility.

Digital product launches and paid ads:

• Plan and run launch campaigns for upcoming digital products.
• Create and manage sponsored ads on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok and Google.
• Build simple sales funnels that move followers to opt-ins and purchases on the brand website.
• Track ad spend, cost per result and conversions, and adjust campaigns based on results.

Email newsletter:

• Write, design and send the brand's email newsletter.
• Grow the email list through opt-in offers and calls to action on social media.

Reporting:

• Track page analytics, website traffic from social media and campaign results.
• Submit a monthly report on growth, engagement, campaign results, ad performance and next steps.
• Stay current on platform changes, content trends and new AI and design tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Mass Communication or any relevant field.
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience in content creation and social media management.
• A portfolio of pages managed and content created, with evidence of growth or campaign results.
• Proven experience creating and editing content with AI tools, including at least one AI-made motion graphic or explainer video.
• Experience with personal brands, thought leaders or public figures is an advantage.

Skills Required (Non negotiable):

• Strong content writing and copywriting skills.
• Strong video editing skills, using tools like CapCut, InShot or Premiere Pro, after effects.
• Crucial: strong, hands-on use of ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini Pro, Google flow, etc. for content creation and editing.
• Strong prompting skills, with the ability to iterate on prompts to get the right result.
• Crucial: ability to make motion graphics and explainer videos with AI tools like Higgsfield, Runway, InVideo, HeyGen or similar.
• Working knowledge of preferred image editing tools.
• Good photography and mobile video shooting skills.
• Experience running sponsored ads on Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok or Google.
• Experience with email marketing tools like Mailchimp, Brevo or similar.
• Good analytical skills, with the ability to read platform insights and act on them.
• Good research and networking skills.
• Highly organised, able to work independently, manage several pages at once and meet deadlines.
• Discretion in handling a public figure's accounts, messages and personal information.
• Must be able to attend scheduled event.
• Livingin Gwarimpa, Life camp, or its environs is prefarable.

Remuneration Offer

• Monthly salary:N150,000.
• Transport and Data Allowance
• Fully remote work arrangement, however you must attend scheduled events.
• Direct exposure to leadership, mentorship and speaking events, and trainings
