Job title : Marketing Manager

• The successful candidate will be responsible for building strong consumer brands, driving market penetration, strengthening consumer engagement and supporting sustainable revenue and market-share growth across the company's product portfolio.
• This role requires a seasoned FMCG marketing professional with strong experience in brand management, consumer insights, product innovation, trade marketing and go-to-market execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company's overall marketing and brand strategy in line with business growth objectives.
• Lead brand positioning, portfolio strategy and annual marketing planning across product categories.
• Drive brand awareness, consumer penetration, trial, repeat purchase and loyalty.
• Develop integrated consumer campaigns across traditional, digital, experiential and other relevant channels.
• Lead consumer and market research to understand customer behaviour, category trends, competitors and emerging opportunities.
• Translate consumer and market insights into product, packaging, pricing and communication strategies.
• Lead new product development and go-to-market strategies in collaboration with R&D, Sales, Production and Supply Chain.
• Partner with the Sales team to develop effective trade and shopper marketing strategies across distributors, wholesalers, modern trade and general trade.
• Drive in-market brand visibility, merchandising, promotions and consumer activations.
• Monitor competitor activities, pricing, market share and category performance.
• Develop and manage the annual marketing budget and ensure effective allocation of marketing investments.
• Measure campaign effectiveness and return on marketing investment, ensuring marketing activities deliver measurable commercial impact.
• Build and strengthen the digital presence of the company's brands across relevant platforms.
• Work closely with Sales, Finance, Supply Chain and Production to align marketing initiatives with revenue, distribution and profitability objectives.
• Lead, coach and develop the Marketing team to deliver agreed business and brand objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a related discipline. A Master's degree or relevant professional qualification is an advantage.
• 10+ years of progressive marketing experience, with significant experience in the FMCG/consumer goods industry.
• Minimum of 4–5 years in a senior marketing, brand or category leadership role.
• Proven track record of building and growing consumer brands.
• Strong experience in brand management, consumer insights, trade marketing, category management and go-to-market strategy.
• Demonstrated experience launching and scaling new consumer products.
• Strong understanding of the Nigerian FMCG market, consumer behaviour and distribution landscape.
• Experience managing marketing budgets and measuring marketing ROI.
• Strong commercial, analytical and financial acumen.
• Proven experience leading and developing marketing teams.
