Inventory Officer

Job Summary 

  • Are you detail-oriented, organised, and passionate about maintaining accurate stock records? We are looking for a proactive and reliable inventory officer to join our team.

Responsibilities
Inventory Management:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all stock items, including fresh produce, packaged goods, and supplies.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts to reconcile physical stock with system records.
  • Monitor stock levels and raise timely alerts for replenishment needs.
  • Track inventory usage and movement across the store, warehouse, and production areas.

Storage & Stock Handling:

  • Ensure proper storage of goods to reduce spoilage and maintain freshness.
  • Arrange stock in a clean, organized, and easily accessible manner.
  • Enforce FIFO (First-In, First-Out) procedures and monitor expiry dates and shelf life.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of all storage areas.

Documentation & Record Keeping:

  • Update stock management systems or registers daily.
  • Prepare and submit accurate inventory reports (daily, weekly, and monthly).
  • Document all stock issued to production, sales, and dispatch teams.
  • Maintain proper records of receipts, invoices, and delivery notes.

Loss & Waste Management:

  • Monitor and report stock variances, wastage, spoilage, and shrinkage.
  • Work with production teams to reduce losses and improve efficiency.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety, hygiene, and handling standards.

Coordination & Communication:

  • Collaborate effectively with Procurement, Sales, Production, and Logistics teams.
  • Provide timely updates on stock availability for orders and production planning.
  • Support dispatch operations by preparing and confirming order accuracy.

Requirements

  • HND or Bachelor's Degree in Inventory Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in inventory, warehouse, storekeeping, or stock control roles is an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems.
  • Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
