Librarian

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the College library.
• Develop, organise, catalogue, and maintain the library's print and digital collections.
• Support students and staff in locating and effectively using library resources.
• Promote reading culture through book clubs, reading programmes, library displays, and literacy initiatives.
• Collaborate with teachers to provide resources that support the curriculum and classroom instruction.
• Guide students in research skills, information literacy, and responsible use of information.
• Maintain an efficient library circulation system, including borrowing, returns, and inventory management.
• Recommend new books and learning resources based on curriculum needs and user demand.
• Ensure the library remains organised, safe, and conducive to learning.
• Prepare periodic reports on library usage, resource needs, and reading initiatives.
• Monitor and enforce library rules and promote responsible use of library facilities.
• Support the integration and effective use of digital library resources and online databases.
