Insurance Desk Officer

Summary

  • The Insurance Desk Officer is responsible for managing the company’s insurance activities, including policy administration, renewals, claims processing, documentation, and follow-up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain records of all insurance policies and ensure timely renewals.
  • Coordinate insurance coverage for trucks, trailers, vehicles, employees, and other company assets.
  • Manage and follow up on accident, theft, damage, and third-party insurance claims.
  • Liaise with insurance companies, brokers, assessors, workshops, police, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely submission of required claim documentation.
  • Monitor outstanding claims and provide regular updates to management.
  • Ensure compliance with insurance and statutory requirements.
  • Identify gaps in insurance coverage and escalate concerns.
  • Prepare insurance and claims reports for management.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential insurance records.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree / HND in Insurance, Risk Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related fields
  • 3–5 years' relevant experience.
  • Experience in motor/fleet insurance and claims management is an advantage.
  • CIIN certification is an added advantage.
