The Opportunity

YellowDoor Hotels is a boutique hotel group in Abuja operating 24 hours a day across premium apartments and a flagship restaurant. This is the senior security leadership seat: you own the strategy, the team, and the systems that keep guests, staff, and assets safe around the clock. If you have built security operations from the ground up and led people through real emergencies, this role was written for you.

Your Mission

• Oversee all three shifts and maintain 24/7 security coverage across the property
• Lead incident investigations and produce accurate, confidential written reports
• Manage CCTV, access control, fire, and alarm systems to ensure full operational coverage
• Enforce loss-prevention controls across cash points, bar, kitchen, and storerooms
• Build, roster, train, and appraise an in-house security team across all shifts
• Serve as on-site incident commander during emergencies until handover to external services

The Non-Negotiables

• Cannot lead and hold accountable a uniformed team across three shifts
• No hands-on experience managing investigations or writing incident reports
• Has never overseen CCTV, access control, or fire detection systems directly
• Prioritises employee comfort over security discipline and property protection

The Purpose of This Role

To bring credible, accountable security leadership to a fast-growing boutique hotel, transitioning the team from fully outsourced to a disciplined in-house operation with measurable loss-prevention and emergency-readiness outcomes.

What Success Looks Like

In-house security team fully trained and shift-complete by month 3. Emergency Response Plan drilled with all HODs by month 4. Measurable reduction in internal pilferage losses reported by month 6. Zero preventable major security breaches sustained beyond that.
