Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Resident Medical Officer to join our Oncology team in Ebonyi State. As a Resident Medical Officer, you will provide high-quality patient care under the supervision of consultant oncologists. You will be responsible for managing patients with various types of cancer, participating in treatment planning, and contributing to the advancement of cancer care in our institution. Key Responsibilities: 1) Provide direct patient care with Conducting patient interviews and physical examinations
- Documenting patient information and medical history
- Administering chemotherapy and other treatments
- Monitoring patient progress and reporting concerns
- Ward rounds and clinics
- Surgical procedures and emergencies
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care
- Treatment plans and medication orders
- Laboratory and test results
- 4)Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including: Nurses and midwives
- Laboratory and radiology staff
- Pharmacists and therapists
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits
- Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent)
- Job Location: Ebonyi State.
- Registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN)
- Completion of internship program
- Strong clinical and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Familiarity with Nigerian healthcare regulations and standards
- Post-graduate certification in Oncology or related field
- Experience in cancer care or research
- Strong interest in pursuing a career in Oncology
