Job Summary
- Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to manage daily financial operations, maintain accurate accounting records, and support financial reporting.
- The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, and a good understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of all transactions.
- Prepare and process payments, invoices, receipts, and journal entries.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations.
- Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and management accounts.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring.
- Support external audits by preparing required financial documents.
- Maintain the fixed asset register and monitor asset records.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience (experience in the real estate, construction, or property management industry is an advantage).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Zoho Books, or similar).
- Good understanding of financial reporting, bookkeeping, and reconciliation processes.
- Knowledge of Nigerian tax regulations and statutory compliance is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Salary
N100,000 - N150,000 per month.
