Job Summary

• The Commercial & Tender Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end tendering process in our company which plays within the oil and gas servicing environment, ensuring competitive, compliant, and value-driven proposals.
• This role integrates cross-functional inputs across technical, financial, sourcing, and commercial domains to deliver winning bids aligned with business development strategy.
• By managing multiple opportunities and influencing stakeholders, the role contributes directly to long-term growth objectives of the company.

Responsibilities
As Commercial & Tender Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Developing commercial proposals and quotations in oil and gas servicing environment, ensuring competitiveness, profitability, and strong client value propositions.
• Leading all functions supporting the commercial process and business development, including technical proposals, schedules, sourcing strategies, execution plans, quality plans, financials, and investment requirements.
• Developing or supporting cost models associated with contract scope to ensure accuracy and alignment with commercial strategy.
• Revising and negotiating customer scope, pricing, contractual Terms & Conditions, and technical and financial aspects of the bidding process.
• Preparing and presenting deal business cases for functional and leadership approvals prior to submission.
• Supporting operational, financial, commercial, and contractual risk assessments, including securing internal approvals for deviations from company standards.
• Ensuring compliance with internal processes and supporting governance and audit requirements.
• Supporting price benchmarking, competitive positioning, and bid strategy development.
• Managing standardized service offerings with predefined configurations and providing client advisory where required.
• Compiling and submitting complete tender documentation within defined timelines.
• Leading the process from Request for Proposal (RFP) or Request for Quotation (RFQ) through to handover to execution teams.
• Leading or supporting implementation of variation orders and contract amendments within backlog agreements

To be successful in this role you will

• Have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering,98i Quality Assurance & Control, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline; OR a degree in another field supported by strong analytical and mathematical capabilities.
• A Master’s degree or a specialized master’s in Energy Economics, Project Management, or Contract Law is required
• Have 12+ years of experience across Commercial Proposals, Costing, Contracts, Project Management, Engineering.
• Have at least 7+ years of experience within the Oil and gas market with strong Bid & Tender Management skill set. Technical and Commercial Bid Evaluations (TBE/CBE) and e-procurement platforms like Nipe X, SAP Ariba, NIPEX, Smart GEP, or NAPIMS.
• Have advanced to fluent English proficiency, both written and verbal.
• Familiarity with Oil & Gas standards (ISO 9001:2015, API Q1/Q2, QHSE)
• Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt messaging across different audiences.
• Have the ability to influence stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams without formal authority.
• Have proven capability to manage medium to high complexity scopes of work and contractual structures.
• Be able to coordinate multiple commercial opportunities simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
• Have strong analytical and mathematical capabilities with attention to detail.
• Demonstrate resilience and the ability to perform under pressure and manage workload seasonality effectively.
