Cinematographer

Our client is a fast-growing digital film production powerhouse in Lagos, Nigeria, specializing in high-volume short-form content. We are seeking a visually inventive and technically sound Cinematographer to craft the visual identity of our films. Operating on a structured monthly calendar, the ideal candidate will masterfully manipulate camera and lighting setups to deliver perfect, high-fidelity footage. This role is crucial to elevating our production quality, maintaining visual consistency across 32 monthly contents, and executing high-speed setups flawlessly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take full responsibility for camera operations, framing, and composition across all short films.
• Design and execute high-quality lighting setups tailored to diverse indoor and outdoor locations.
• Collaborate closely with the Director and Production Manager to translate script concepts into stunning visuals.
• Deliver rapid, high-standard setups to accommodate a heavy filming pace of 3-4 scripts per day during shoot weeks.
• Oversee the care, maintenance, and tracking of all company camera and lighting assets.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Cinematographer or Director of Photography with a strong digital portfolio.
• Technical mastery of modern digital cinema cameras, lenses, and complex lighting equipment.
• Ability to commit to a structured 12 days a month on-set schedule (concentrated primarily in Weeks 1 and 3).
• High speed, agility, and accuracy when setting up gear without sacrificing visual fidelity.
• Excellent collaboration skills and a strong eye for visual storytelling detail.
